Former Stafford Rangers and Worcester City centre half Wayne Daniel has
signed for Nuneaton Town after Boro manager Kevin Wilkin offered the centre
half terms earlier in the week.

Daniel, 33, was recommended to Wilkin by his former team-mate and current
Boro defender Stuart Pierpoint. The 33-year-old experienced Conference level
defender was keeping his options open as a free agent after leaving Worcester
at the end of last season.
Daniel was offered a deal at his former club Stafford Rangers only a few
weeks ago by manager Chris Brindley but after doing well during Nuneaton’s
pre-season chose to come to the Triton Showers Community Arena instead.
Kevin Wilkin added that he offered Wayne a deal after showing some solid
performances during the build up to the season. He has experience at this level
and we are looking to get out of the starting blocks quickly.
The fate of other trialists
will be learned over the next few days though the manager would not be drawn on
his plans.
