PREVIEW: Jon Ashton

Jon Ashton speaks to ahead of this afternoons away trip to FC United of Manchester.

Following defeat last Saturday at the hands of Stockport County, Boro are keen to bounce back.

“It has been a good week. The lads have obviously settled down a bit after the news at the end of last week. We’ve had a good week training and have prepared well for the game.”

“The reaction to last week and to everything that has gone on behind the scenes, that the players cant control, has been fantastic. They have carried on applying themselves correctly, they know that they can’t do anything about off the field matters. So they have been mentally and physically preparing themselves for the match.”

“It will be as bigger test as we have had this season. Its no secret that a team without a manager is as dangerous, if not more dangerous than a team that’s comfortably got a manager. So they will be looking to react in a way we were looking to last weekend. Unfortunately that result didn't go our way, but we are settled this week and we have prepared well. The lads know their roles and we know what to expect. We are looking to get three points.”
