With our third straight 1-0 win, the Boro' have moved up to 12th in the Vanarama National League North. Stockport remain in 10th place after missing out on the opportunity to gain on the teams in the playoff places. Despite a valiant fightback Alfreton Town dropped to 17th, losing 4-3 away to Harrogate. Town had looked comfortable at 4-0 but the Reds scored three in 27 minutes to make it a nervous finish at Wetherby Road.
With Salford City being held 2-2 at home by Bradford Park Avenue, Harrogate move to the top of the table on goal difference. It could have been worse for the Ammies as they trailed 2-0 with 12 minutes to play, but an Anthony Dudley brace pulled them level on the night and kept pace with Town. Both sides have 65 points but Salford will be wondering how they've lost what was, at one stage, an 11 point lead.
The only other fixture saw yet another postponement for Spennymoor and Telford, the two sides have played the fewest games in the league and will face a fixture pile-up for the run-in at the end of the season. With FA Trophy fixtures this weekend there will only be eight games in the division on Saturday.
