MARK NOON TV STAR?
Hopefully you managed to see Boro Captain Mark Noon on ITV 1 today for the live FA Cup with Budweiser draw.
Snappily dressed Nooney lined up once again against Gaizka Mendieta the Spanish former Middlesbrough player.
ITV Sport presenter Jim Rosenthal asked Mark to recount his memories of the day showing Boro legend Gez Murphy’s equalising penalty at the former cock and bear end.
Then we were treated to a replay of the criminal hacking down of a much younger Noon, the only member of that team who played on the day who is left at the club, by England defender Gareth Southgate. When watching in HD, the tackle looked a stone-wall penalty on the now Captain, that had it been given, may have changed the course of Nuneaton Borough’s future.
