Nuneaton Town are delighted to announce the appointment of fan's favourite Mark Noon as Assistant Manager to Kevin Wilkin.

Noon was originally with Nuneaton Borough and remained with the club when reformed as Nuneaton Town and played a major part as Club Captain in the rise to Conference Premier from Southern League Midland Division.

His never say die attitude and professionalism made him a firm fan's favourite.

He has been out of action since he suffered an injury in a pre-season friendly at Brackley and is currently working towards his rehabilitation to full fitness.

Noon is a A licence coach and three years into a PHD in Sports Science.

He met at the Club yesterday afternoon to discuss the role and his passion for the club.

He has spent most of his senior career at the club and described his excitement at becoming involved at the club once more and thinks he can really bring some progression on the training field.

He has a great knowledge of the players and feels his role will be very different from his previous role as player and captain as he works with Kevin to the drive the club forwards.

Wilkin is looking forward to working with Noon and expects and looks forward to him making his own impression on the role.

He said: "Mark knows all about the club's expectation and I expect he will step up to the role with relish.

"He is very switched on and it is an exciting appointment."
