Wright on our home draw with Alfreton Town...
IT WAS a game of missed opportunities for Boro as we were forced to settle for a share of the spoils against Alfreton Town.
“I’ve no idea how we’ve not won that,” admitted manager, Tommy Wright. “The lads are banging their heads off the wall, but I can have no complaints about the performance.
“To create that many chances in a game, nine times out of ten you will win.
“We’ve got to look at it as two points dropped, but then it could have swung the other way towards the end when they had a chance.
“It’s when we stop creating so many chances that we have to be concerned; we’re playing some great stuff at the moment and it is a joy to watch.
“That’s our philosophy and we’ll continue to do it. Movement and pace kills teams at this level and we have that in abundance.
“Unfortunately it looks like Alex [Henshall] will be out for a few weeks. He joins a growing injury list which contains players who were regulars last season when we were doing well.
“It’s a case of dusting ourselves down and being ready to go again on Tuesday against AFC Telford. It’s another chance for us to put some points on the board at home and hopefully we can put in a similar level of performance.
“We win, draw and lose together as a team.”
