REACTION: Important win for Wright

Boss delight at Emirates FA Cup progress...

BORO boss, Tommy Wright, was pleased with the afternoon’s work that his team put in as we made Emirates FA Cup progress at the expense of King’s Lynn Town.
A hat-trick from Ashley Chambers gave us a deserved 3-1 success.
“We got what we deserved,” he said. “It was important that we progressed in this competition and it was important that we got back into winning ways.
“I was delighted to see Ash get a hat-trick; it’s been frustrating for him but he took his goals really well.
“There were pleasing performances all over the pitch. In the first half it was a case of two teams who didn’t really give it a go, but then we threw the dice after the break and it worked in our favour.
“It was good to see us scoring goals and getting into the next round. I was a little disappointed that we conceded right at the end, but we were worthy winners and now we have to take the confidence gained from this win into our League game next weekend.”
Wright was able to get Greg Mills back into action as he returned from injury to make an appearance off the substitutes’ bench during the second half.
“It was good to see him back in action,” he continued. “We’ve missed him so far this season. He looked a little rusty but to have him available again is a big boost for us.”
