I WOULD like to go on record and personally thank the Nuneaton Town Supporters Co-operative for standing by the football club this week.
For as long as the problems with the rugby club have been occurring, it has felt at times that I have been an army of one.
But now with the support of the Co-operative now behind the club, we have become an army of many.
With the football club and the Co-op standing together it shows unity and hopefully that unity will help the club grow while building new platforms and relationships.
I do need to clarify the situation with the rugby club at the moment, and as it stands I have passed the process of discussing how best to repair the access road areas with the Nuns chairman Mark Mitchell, his vice-chairman and their main shirt sponsor, Neil Robinson, over to the Co-op.
The repairs to the access road historically have been undertaken by the Co-op free charge to the rugby club, but due to the current situation the Co-op is unwilling to carry out the work.
Many selective extracts from the TP 1 document have been quoted recently but one that has not been mentioned is that the hard-standing covering to the car parking areas was to be done by the rugby club as expeditiously as possible. However, this obligation remains unfulfilled.
The football club has tarmacked and funded two thirds of the access way, as well as the footpath to the away turnstiles, with no contribution from the rugby club.
These are now both included in the area the rugby club believes we have no rights of access to.
I shall endeavour to publish the TP1 document via the club website this week so that you can all be fully informed of the clauses and covenants contained within it.
Up The Boro!
