Heritage Project Update and Drop in Day

By Kev Brown, Thursday March 19

From Town to Town – Nuneaton’s Footballing Heritage

Please see an update from the project volunteers below;

Momentum is now beginning to build as we strive to fulfil our obligations to the Heritage Lottery Fund which involves not only charting the history of the football club but also full engagement with the local community.

We have already begun our community work and will also be in attendance at local exhibitions during the year.
Other exciting initiatives with various local groups are being planned at the moment – more details to follow in due course.

The students at NWHC have been working extremely hard to build us a comprehensive website which is now in its testing stage and is due to go ‘live’ on 27th March.

Our next memorabilia ‘Drop in Day’ is planned for Saturday 21st March at Nuneaton Library, 10am to 1pm.

If you have any Nuneaton footballing memorabilia or memories of supporting the town’s football club that you are willing to share please ‘drop in’ to see us.

At our drop in days your items can be gifted to us (for us to keep), photographed / scanned while you wait or loaned to us (for a defined period of time before being returned).

However, if you are unable to attend these sessions our volunteers are willing to visit you to collect items of interest.
