Biography:
The captain leads by example as a robust and determined central defender.
His career began at Preston North End where he emerged through the ranks, initially as a striker, but found his first-team opportunities limited.
He was loaned out to the likes of Tamworth, Carlisle United, Kidderminster Harriers and Shrewsbury Town in a bid to gain competitive experience before completing a permanent switch to The Shrews, who converted him into a centre back.
Making over 250 appearances for the Shropshire outfit, he then joined Peterborough United in readiness for the 2010/11 campaign before going on to give sterling service to Northampton Town.
Moving on to Ebbsfleet United, from where he was loaned out to Kidderminster Harriers in 2015/16, he arrived at Boro in the summer of 2016 and was promptly made skipper.
He penned a new deal at the club in the summer of 2017.
